So many young founders I meet spend a lot of energy worrying about someone stealing their idea. That energy would be better spent on quickly and successfully implementing it.

That’s not to say some ideas aren’t worth protecting, but a good IP lawyer can tell you if it’s worth pursuing a patent on your idea. Even if you do, it’s “execute, or be executed” when it comes to turning an idea into a viable business.
