Steve Blank video lecture series

steve blank

Steve Blank’s book The Startup Owner’s Manual is an invaluable resource for founders. But it’s really a reference book, not a tutorial. You just don’t sit down and read the Manual, even Steve advises against it. And Steve’s web site is also very valuable resource for entrepreneurs. Bu both resources can be overwhelming, especially for the first time founder.

However, the National Science Foundation commissioned Steve to do a series of videos for I-Corps, their program to help post-doc researchers commercialize their work. These video playlists are required watching as part of the assignments in the MIT VMS I-Corps training.  They cover the Lean Launch framework that serves as the core of the NSF I-Corps curriculum.

These playlists are composed of a series of very short and extremely well done videos. While they won’t turn a newbie into a successful founder are certainly the best and most digestible introduction to entrepreneurship I know of. Here they are. Give up one of your TV series or YouTube favorites for a while and watch this series!
